Living Intentionally….or at least trying….

After taking  a long time few months away from my blog, I’m looking forward to sharing everyday life in my Home on a Hill again. After 29 years as a teacher and Administrator in public schools, I looked forward to retirement. While I loved my job, I felt like I was putting my life on hold until…..whenever!  I was always tired, stressed, rushed, ill, controlled by the alarm clock, and I lived for the weekend. By Sunday afternoon, I began to get that feeling in my stomach – that dread that many of you also face – that Monday morning back to work sickness.

Well, I’ve retired and I’m looking forward to living more intentionally. (I hope you don’t suffer from that Monday-Friday attitude that I had. I hope you live your life fully every single day and won’t wait until your career is over to fully embrace life). I don’t really have a Bucket List, but there are a few things I’ve put off that I look forward to now.

I hope you’ll come back and visit with me as I begin this new chapter of my life – in my sweet Home on a Hill!

Enjoying home,

  1. Good to see you blogging cousin. I feel blessed in that I actually look forward to Sunday afternoons and work on Monday. I love my job and the team of people I work with. So glad that you can now enjoy your Sundays a little more! Love you.

    1. Thanks! I loved what I was doing and do miss my friends, but I love being home and doing my thing more. That probably comes from that 15 years I was a stay-at-home mom. It’s all different seasons of life and I’m thankful for this new time. Love you too!
