Country Curtains, curtains, Great room, seagrass ottoman

Noah and his hammer……

It has rained non-stop here in Middle Tennessee for three days and is forecasted for the next four!!  The 4th of July was held indoors, fireworks were mostly canceled, and there were no cookouts or pool time for us girls. We, instead, watched a lot of movies and a Castle marathon, ate drive-thru barbecue and potato salad……but, we had a blast!  It’s still pouring today and I’m wondering about that ark, but all this rain is helping me catch up on my napping, surfing the net, and reading. With the door open to the deck, I’m enjoying the sound of rain in the trees and SHOPPING online!  My fingers did the walking to Country Curtains and I bought new curtains for the master bedroom. I’ll show you the before and after when they arrive, but this girl loves toile and these colors really caught my eye PLUS they were on clearance!

I only have one window in the bedroom and the room can easily get dark because the window overlooks the woods, so I’m hoping these curtains will lighten things up a little. Can’t wait for them to arrive!

My seagrass ottoman/coffee table arrived from Grandinroad so I’ve enjoyed replacing the dark brown leather ottoman in front of the DARK BROWN sofa in the great room. I love neutrals, and while the seagrass is neutral, it’s lighter and brings great texture to the room.  I can get somewhat carried away with browns, tans and blacks in there, but I find the colors very soothing……..and that’s important to me after long hectic days at work!

  1. Looks great, but we readers need more pics. Your bedroom, multiple views of the ottoman and Shelley wants office pictures. Don’t be shy!
