The tale of two tables

My dining room is part of an L shaped area attached to the living room and also open to the kitchen. It is in NO way formal and more of a walk through space between the front door and the rear deck door. But because it’s open, it needs to look nice and somewhat put together. When I moved here, I bought a cheap rectangular cherry/mahogany table and four chairs. I’m a chair addict, so those four chairs have been repurposed, painted, and used in other rooms for at least four or five years. I bought two rattan wicker chairs at Pier One and added a couple of slip-covered parson chairs that I bought at a garage sale and then had monogrammed, but still didn’t feel the area looked very warm and inviting. Enter, a round table that I absolutely love AND found on sale, also at Pier One and voila – the look I love!  I would like to add a barrel pendant light at some point, and I’m looking for different curtains, but that’s a different tale!  I wish I could say that I eat lots of meals at that table, but considering that I HATE to cook, the closest I get to food is snacks when we play cards there…….but it sure looks good!
